The DeoxIT Contact Cleaning pen is used to clean the pins by first pressing on the tip of the pen on a clean surface until saturated. Once saturated, gently massage the tip of the contacts located inside the key tip for several cycles. Care should be exercised not to apply sideways pressure onto the contact pins as this may damage the contacts.

Using the DeoxIT cleaning pen, gently depress the pen tip against the contacts until the pen tip is saturated allowing the solution to wet the contacts. Never use grease, oil or graphite-based lubricants in locking cylinders, as these lubricants cause disruptions in functionality and clog up the mechanism.
