The Schlage L Series has long been the benchmark for mortise locks. The L Series electrified mortise lock offers tremendous flexibility which allows it to meet the needs of most every wired application. It features universal input voltage and auto-detects 12 through 24 VDC for installation flexibility. Users can select mode of operation in the field by moving switch on lock chassis; Fail Safe (EL) or Fail Secure (EU). This product is an entrance/office lock case with a deadbolt, electrically unlocked authorized egress, and deadbolt monitor secured. Monitors the full extension of the deadbolt disabling the electrical control of a Fail Secure lockset locking the OUTSIDE trim. Retracting the deadbolt will enable the electrical control. Free egress at all times.

The L- series is UL Listed, California State Fire Marshall approved, Fail safe or Fail Secure. Simple user selectable fail safe/fail secure operation in motor-controlled locks. Continuous duty rated with low power consumption. 24VDC, 24VAC, 12VDC, or 12VAC operation. When key cylinders are provided in the locks, the latch bolt may be momentarily retracted with key even though electrically locked. Note: Locks that are electrically unlocked may not be locked via the key cylinder. Possess a wide variety of monitoring options, and interfaces with life-safety systems.
