Von Duprin PA-AX99EO US26D 4′
On the surface, the AX looks and performs the same as the traditional 99 exit only device. But through smart engineering and redesign, the AX meets the 5 pounds operational force maximum. As a result, the chassis now requires less push force to actuate the latch, allowing for accessibility without compromise. Subject to Von Duprin's standard testing, the 99 exit only device meets rigorous standards for durability, use and functionality. The AX99EO device has a smooth mechanism case and is non-handed except when the following device options are used: SD (special dogging), -2 (double cylinder) or SS (signal switch). Devices are certified to ANSI/BHMA A156.3 2014, Grade 1. The 299 strike ships standard but optional strikes are available. The hex key also comes standard on the AX99 rim exit device. Device length is 4'.

The AX device is a UL certified exit device designed to meet the progressive requirements of the California Building Code for accessible openings. It meets the 5 pounds of operating force requirements called for in Section 11B-309.4. The AX device also exceeds ANSI/BHMA requirements. Additionally, all AX devices will be shipped with a new UL label clearly stating “Meets California building Code (2013) Sec. 11B-309.4” and an “AX” identifier label on device center case. Von Duprin exceeded the building code requirements certified by UL. In order to ensure compliance, they thoroughly tested exit only panic devices and other hardware devices for durability, use and functionality. The AX98EO adapts well with all types of mechanical and electronic options including quiet electric latch retraction, delayed and controlled egress, concealed vertical cables and security indicators.
